Lisa SchoenbergVice President, Specialty Care

Responsibilities

Lisa Schoenberg is Vice President of Specialty Care at AstraZeneca.  In this role, Lisa oversees AstraZeneca’s neuroscience, respiratory and pain product portfolio and is accountable for leading the development and delivery of patient-oriented brand strategies – including marketing, drug development, and life cycle management. In addition, as a member of the US Leadership Team, Lisa also shares accountability for the delivery of the overall US business goals and priorities.

Prior experience

Prior to this current position, Lisa was Vice President of Marketing Strategy for AstraZeneca, where she was responsible for leading all strategic and operational marketing functions, as well as portfolio-wide strategic and operational initiatives, across the product portfolio.  

Lisa brings to her role a unique and extensive pharmaceutical marketing skill set achieved through more than 17 years of experience in a variety of commercial roles including sales, business insights, and strategic brand marketing.

Since joining the former AstraMerck organization in 1993, Lisa has also held several management positions within the commercial organization, including Brand Director for PRILOSEC, Commercial Brand Leader for NEXIUM, and Vice President for the Phoenix Business Unit (AstraZeneca’s former established brand business unit).  

During her tenure at AstraZeneca, Lisa has demonstrated an exceptional capability to lead and advance product brand goals to ensure successful integration with organizational and business objectives.

A long-standing member of the Health Care Business Woman’s Association, Lisa received their prestigious Rising Star Award in 2002.

  • Bachelor’s degree in political science, University of Michigan
  • Master of business administration, The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania.
